Coletti Starks -Brown was born and raised in Esmont, Virginia and relocated to Richmond, Virginia in 2006.  Coletti is a Hair Stylist by trade, best known for her "hair art" but has also been breaking into the Creative Arts World  as an abstract Artist since 2014. Coletti has always been known for her creativity, making art in middle school and high school, but had not painted a canvas since 1984.

Coletti's father was a Master Carpenter and her mother was a Master Seamstress, so creativity ran in her family. 

In 2014, after the passing of her mother, Coletti began dreaming of a dancing couple which inspired her to picked up a brush and some paint and put her dream on a canvas in her first painting, “Watch Me Dance.”

 

"Watch Me Dance" was also the painting  that caused Coletti to receive attention from VIDA - a collaboration between designers and makers around the world that allows artists to transfer their original artwork onto apparel and accessories. As a result of this collaboration and the popularity of her artwork in general, Coletti's art has appeared on clothing, pocketbooks, accessories, and is displayed in homes nation-wide.

Coletti's love for texture and patterns led her to create abstract acrylic art with resin glaze, rocks, broken glass, sand, tule , and other textured finishing touches.

In May 2022, Coletti debuted her artwork to the public at her first art exhibit. Coletti is now in the process of opening the doors to "Coletti Devine Vision Art House" which will house all of her original artwork and other creations available to public for purchase. 

​

It is Coletti's dream to have her artwork displayed in various locations worldwide and to be creating art full time by the age of 65. It is Coletti's hope that her artwork will bring joy and enlightenment to the visual eye. 

​

Outside of creating art, Coletti is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and caregiver to many. In her spare time she likes to garden, cook, walk,  shop for shoes, travel and watch the Hallmark channel.
